Needed Additions to the AV System
Video System Needs
1. A screen in the back of the church. Pastors, readers, musicians up front cannot see the existing screens. About $5000 should buy a large LCD screen monitor and associated equipment for the back.
2. Two 23 inch LCD monitors for the choir. The current tube type monitor is not very clear, is difficult for everyone in the choir to see and causes the entire video system to run at a lower resolution than desired. Cost: about $3000
3. Bulbs. The projector bulbs will eventually burn out. The cost to replace them is about $500 each. That money needs to exist to be ready to replace the bulbs when they burn out.
Sound System Needs
1. An additional hand held wireless microphone. Memorial only has one and there are times when two would be very useful. Cost: $800
2. Monitor speakers for special music. Cost: about $500.
AV System Upgrade
The items listed below would be a very useful upgrade of the entire system:
1. Raised platform for both sound and video consoles. The operators currently have difficult seeing.
2. A custom designed console cabinet and desk to house existing equipment. This may require removal of a pew.
3. A larger mixer. The current mixer already is proving to not have enough inputs. The above new console would be required to house it.
4. Additional cabling for microphones.
5. Additional microphones.
New mixer and microphones would allow sound setup to remain unchanged for different groups using the system.
