Sound Tech Duties

Below is a list of stand alone duties for people to help with Memorial's sound. A person doing just ONE of the duties below every Sunday will relieve another busy sound tech from having to do it. 

  1. Install batteries in all of the wireless microphones before each service.

  2. Prepare recorded CDs of the service after each service: Label the CD. Place in a paper jacket. Label the jacket. Place CDs on table in the narthex.

  3. Rip the sermon from the CD to an MP3 file for placing on the church web site.

  4. Set up microphones before each service. (Detailed instructions are provided.)

  5. Operate the mixer during the service. This duty should also include attending rehearsals.

Sound preparations start at about 8:30 am and 9:30 Sundays. Also help is needed for any special services, such as memorial services.

You don't need to be a member of Memorial to help. If you just want to get some experience with sound systems, consider this opportunity.
