The purpose of the equipping team is to recruit and train leadership and schedule Discipleship classes.  That includes recruiting leadership for the few nominations still required by the Discipline such as the trustees of the corporation, and for staff parish relations (personnel). The Equipping Team is responsible for keeping track of all the mission, ministry and other groups functioning in the church as well as tracking all the disciples involved. The purpose of the Discipleship classes, called, Spirit Quest, is to grow and mature disciples of Jesus Christ.
