Mission Thrift<\/abbr> Shop<\/span><\/h2>\n

Memorial<\/abbr> UMC<\/abbr> operates a non-profit Thrift Shop on its campus\u00a0as a support for missions of the church. All items for sale are donated. The store is open on the first Friday of the month and the next day (Saturday). The Thrift Store \u00a0has a four-fold purpose:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Proceeds go to the missions of the United Methodist Church. (apportionment<\/abbr> levied on all UMC<\/abbr> churches for missions.)<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. The store provides low cost goods to people in need.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Some of the merchandise is provided to FIRM<\/abbr> and Love INC.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. The store provides and educational experience and growth for all of the workers involved with it.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Volunteers are needed for all aspects of the store operation – sorting, pricing, sales, etc.\u00a0 If you can help, contact the church office<\/abbr>.\u00a0 It is an educational experience as well as a service to the community and church. Even 1 hour of work is helpful.
