The church is not a building.  It’s the people.  While our building is closed, our church is open and active.

  • We assemble via Zoom at 4:30 pm on Saturday’s for our weekly worship service that begins at 5 pm.  We are meeting Saturday instead of Sunday to ease the burden on the pastor and other helpers who are involved in other church activities on Sunday.  We would love to see more of the congregation participate in the Zoom services.   • The Zoom worship is recorded for viewing anytime Sunday and afterwards via this web site.
  • The Adult Sunday School meets at 9:30 via Zoom.  For Lent, beginning this Sunday, the class will be studying Adam Hamilton’s book “The Walk“. It will be accompanied by short videos by Adam.  Click here for Video Preview. The adult Sunday school discussions have been very inspiring.  Join in. There is no risk. Contact the church office or Andy Hansen-Smith for the Zoom link.
  • Youth Sunday School 11:00 a.m. via Zoom. Contact the church office or Connie Alfaro.
  • Children’s Sunday School 12:15 p. via Zoom. Contact the church office or Laura Williams.
  • Transformational Discipleship Lab (“The Lab”) is a special class meeting on Wednesday’s at 7 pm via Zoom that focuses on actually living out the teachings of Jesus
  • Leader’s training by Tim McManus, Thursday’s at 6:30 pm via Zoom.

If you lead or belong to any Memorial UMC group that regularly meets, consider meeting via Zoom.  Seeing, hearing and interacting with others in the group is very effective.  If you have any difficulty using Zoom, contact the church office.  We may have a solution for you.

Zoom note: Since there have been instances of people disruption some Zoom meetings (not ours so far) we are careful to whom we give the access code/link to. If you contact the office for the code, tell a little about yourself if you are not a member.
