Welcome!
Imagine a Place Where You Belong
Pastor Falamao Samate and the entire congregation welcomes you to Memorial United Methodist Church, Clovis.
Our church is a mix of generations, family configurations, and cultures, drawn together in a warm and lively Spirit.
Our Mission is simply To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
You will find many opportunities for spiritual growth, education, fellowship, thought-provoking discussions, and worship at our church.
We have had an outreach to the Hmong community since 1999 beginning with a Hmong community garden and we have had Hmong language worship and education in coordination with our English language community.
If you are new to this site or the church, click here -> New Visitors for an overview of our church.
Worship
Memorial offers a blended style of worship that is to appeal to diverse generational preferences within a single church community.
Music: Combines traditional hymns with contemporary praise songs in the same service accompanied by piano, guitar and occasionally other instruments.
Worship Structure: Features casual elements like modern prayer but retains classic liturgy elements like the passing of the peace.
Worship is enhanced with projected song lyrics, prayers, photos and graphics.
We offer Holy Communion once a month open to anyone who seeks to respond to Christ’s love and seeks to lead a new life of peace and love.
Dress: There are no expectations on styles. Casual is most common, but more formal is OK.
Worship is in English. (Our Hmong brothers and sisters now worship at St. Paul’s UMC, Fresno.)
